They were looking for third party subject matter expertise to review the contract approach for their Headquarter locations in Canada as well as providing insights on global delivery trends to improve their overall strategies with the Managed Print Services supplier.

IMG was hired via a consultant company to conduct an analysis and market assessment of an existing Managed Print Services contract that included:

  • Market price analysis of comparable devices
  • Assessment of consumables over a 5 year term against the comparable devices
  • Analysis of an average Cost Per Page against comparable devices
  • Market assessment and Managed Print Services trends for delivery and value optimization
  • Market trends for effective MPS local and global sourcing
Impact and Results
  • For the Canadian headquarter and branch locations IMG was able to help identify significant capital savings of approximately $13 million
  • Provided industry analysis for asset/user utilization to improve client current ratio of 8:1 to 15:1 which would improve the overall Total Cost of Ownership
